For Change: Fighting for Gender & Objects →
This project explores gender dynamics, highlighting the differences and current struggles specific to each. Particular attention is paid to the vulnerability and tenderness of modern masculinity, as well as the changing role of women in art - from objects to creators. Inspired by Claude Cahun and her work "Beware of Domestic Objects", this work follows the surrealist tradition in which female artists challenged gender roles and behaviors.
In the background, Romain Delamart's text, Design dans le genre, questions the relationships between everyday objects, design practices, and gender norms. Carefully selected objects are staged to encourage viewers to reflect on stereotypes.
Two genres? Two posterzines. Yet still ambiguity.
